Host a site you built with Claude Code

Built a website with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another tool? Copy one prompt from guisesAi into Claude Code and it builds, zips and uploads the site to yourname.guises.site. Static sites only. Part of Pro, $12 a year.

About 10 minutes

  1. Build your site

Ask Claude Code for a static site: plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or a framework that exports static files, like Next.js with output export, Vite, Astro or SvelteKit with the static adapter. Start from one of the prompts below.

  2. Create a hosting spot

With Pro, open guises.ai/app/host, or in the chat after publishing choose Host a site I built. Choose a name (it becomes name.guises.site) and copy the prompt it gives you. The prompt holds a private deploy key for that one site.

  3. Paste the prompt into Claude Code

Open a new Claude Code session in your project folder and paste it. Claude builds the site, zips the output, uploads it and tells you the live address. Using a fresh session keeps the key out of other chats.

  4. Ship updates

In the same conversation, ask for your change and say ship it again. Every upload is kept for a while: on the Host page, Make this live brings back an earlier version.

Prompts to build your site

Paste one into Claude Code in an empty folder, then change the details to yours.

A portfolio

Build a one-page portfolio for me as a static website using plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. Sections: a hero with my name and what I do, selected projects as cards with an image and a short line each, an about section, and a contact section with my email. Make it fast, accessible and mobile first. No server code, no build step.

A landing page for a small business

Create a landing page for my bakery using Vite and React, built as static files. Include the opening hours, a menu with prices, three customer quotes, a map link and a WhatsApp button. Keep it under 300 KB, with no tracking scripts. Build it so the output folder can be hosted anywhere.

A docs or notes site

Turn the Markdown files in this folder into a small documentation site with Astro using static output. Add a sidebar, search across the pages, and a dark mode that follows the system setting.

Improve an existing site

Look through this project and make it a static site that can be hosted anywhere: remove anything that needs a server, check every page works from the built files, fix broken links, and make the pages faster on a phone.

The prompt that ships it

Your Host page gives you this prompt with your own site name and a private key in place of the dots. Copy it from there, not from here.

Ship this project to my guisesAi hosting, at https://yourname.guises.site.

1. Build it as static files: plain HTML, CSS, JavaScript and assets, with index.html at the top of the output folder. For example, Next.js: set output: "export" and run the build (output in out). Vite, Astro, SvelteKit (static adapter) and similar: run the build (usually dist or build). A plain HTML project: use it as it is.
If the project needs a server to work (API routes, server actions, server-side database calls, logins handled by its own server), stop and tell me what wouldn't work as a static site before going further.
2. Don't include .env files, private keys or secret API keys; everything in these files is public. Keys meant for the browser (like a publishable or maps key) are fine.
3. Zip the contents of the output folder, not the folder itself, into a temporary file outside the project (macOS and Linux: cd into the output folder and run zip -r /tmp/guises-site.zip . ; Windows PowerShell: Compress-Archive -Path out\* -DestinationPath $env:TEMP\guises-site.zip). Limits: 25 MB zipped, 900 files, 25 MB per file.
4. Upload it:
   curl --fail-with-body -sS -X POST https://guises.ai/api/deploy -H "Authorization: Bearer gsk_••••••••••••" -H "Content-Type: application/zip" --data-binary @/tmp/guises-site.zip
5. If the reply is an error, it says what to change: fix it, rebuild, zip and upload again. When it works, tell me the live address from the reply, then delete the temporary zip.

This deploy key works until 5 December 2026, only for yourname.guises.site. Keep it private: don't save it in the project or commit it. To ship an update later in this conversation, repeat steps 1 to 5.
