Guides / Use your own domain

Buy a domain and connect it to your page

Show your page at www.yourbusiness.com. How to choose and buy a domain from any provider, add two DNS records, and connect it from the guisesAi chat. Own domains are part of Pro, $12 a year.

About 15 minutes, plus a short wait

  1. Choose a name

Short, easy to say and easy to spell. A .com works everywhere; .in, .co.uk and other country endings tell people where you are. Avoid hyphens and numbers people might mishear.

  2. Buy it

Any provider works: Cloudflare Registrar, Namecheap, Porkbun, GoDaddy, Hostinger or BigRock. A .com or .in usually costs about ₹800 to ₹1,500 ($10 to $18) a year. Turn on the free privacy protection, and skip extras like hosting or website builders: guisesAi is your website.

  3. Open Use my own domain in the chat

Publish your page first. In the chat, choose Use my own domain and type the address with www, like www.yourbusiness.com. Own domains need Pro, $12 a year.

  4. Add two records

The chat shows a CNAME record (name www, target customers.guises.ai) that sends visitors to your page, and a TXT record (name _guises.www) that shows the domain is yours. Add both in your provider’s DNS settings. GoDaddy: My Products, then DNS. Namecheap: Domain List, Manage, Advanced DNS. Cloudflare: DNS, Records, and set it to DNS only. Remove any other record named www first.

  5. Wait for the check

It usually works within minutes, sometimes a few hours. Tap I’ve added it, check now in the chat. Once it’s live, the secure certificate is set up for you and your guises.ai address forwards to your domain.

  6. Forward the bare address

So yourbusiness.com without www also works, add a forward (often called Forwarding or Redirect) from yourbusiness.com to https://www.yourbusiness.com in your provider’s settings.

Questions

Do I need to move my domain to guisesAi?

No. Keep it where you bought it. You only add two records.

Will my email still work?

Yes. The record only covers www, so email records stay as they are.

What if Pro ends?

Your page stays live at its guises.ai address, and your domain forwards there until you renew.
